David R. Mutekanga (PhD) is a Lecturer at African Rural University. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Biology and has a PhD in Environment Management from Makerere University Kampala, Uganda. He undertook his Post-doctoral studies in Education for Sustainable Development at United Nations University in Tokyo, Japan.He has over 15 years experience in environment related organization and management,environment policy research, analysis and advocacy and in Education for Sustainable Development. He has been involved with local and international environmental NGOs at national and regional levels in Eastern Africa. His work experience includes Wildlife Management, Landscape Management, Local Community Livelihoods, Water and WASH related programs and Lecturing at universities.His current research includes decision making on the interface between development and environment conservation in which area he has published several research papers.
