Speaking as the guest of honor at the swearing in ceremony for the new ARU Guild Cabinet on 13th May 2017,  the University Secretary Ms. Akello Jacqueline,  who represented the vice chancellor congratulated the new guild cabinet and acknowledged the outgoing cabinet for demonstrating good leadership.

It’s an important day for the university and individuals who believe in democracy. Leadership is a calling. She added that we want to have a cabinet of visionary leaders. The leaders and the lead are going to be different in a sense that you are going to create the future that you want. Therefore, be a leader who is going to have solutions for the people you are leading.
We are all here because of the cause of ARU which is rural transformation. The guild cabinet that have sworn in should focus on the work of their predecessors. Don’t focus on the weaknesses of your predecessors. Don’t spend time criticizing and lamenting says Ms. Akello Jacqueline
