The UNESCO Chair Uganda organized a summer school which brought together over 40 participants from 10 countries with majority from Europe. The summer school started on the 19th July 2018 at Gulu University and will end on 30th July 2018.

The themes of this year’s summer school  is Life Long Learning, Youth and Work. The summer school is characterized by group discussions and field visits. Participants are visiting refugee camps, different farmer and youth groups looking at Education, Agriculture, Self-Employment, and Peace and diversity.

Students from ARU are actively participating and learning a lot from all the programs. They have also been given a slot to share about ARU besides the informal interactions and sharing. It was noted that  many people are appreciating the approach being used by ARU in transforming rural communities.
