The Uganda Rural Development and Training Programme (URDT) has organized a 2 days conference for all staff in different URDT institutions. The workshop took place from 10th-11th January 2019 at the URDT Multi-Purpose Hall in Kagadi Western Uganda with 3 main objectives;
- To examine performance, delivery and impact expected for 2019
- Reflect on synergies and alignment required in the team for improved performance, delivery and impact
- To analyze the extent to which staff are serving the mission, vision and purpose of URDT
In his opening remarks the ARU Vice Chancellor Dr. Mwalimu Musheshe said that the conference is meant to help URDT and her institutions to upon to reflect deeply on the vision, mission and philosophy of URDT.
He added that URDT is a unique organization that has positioned itself in human and rural transformation. He therefore said that staff should have the highest level of commitment and action in order to fulfill the promise URDT has made to the public and to its partners.
He elaborated on the URDT working premises and said that if they are followed and institutionalized well can transform individuals, families, villages and the world.
Other key facilitators included the ARU University Secretary Ms. Jacqueline Akello and the URDT Chief Operations Officer Mr. Herbert Tumuhimbise.
The workshop brought together staff of ARU, Kagadi Kibaale Community Radio (KKCR), URDT Girls School, URDT Institute of Vocational Training and Youth Leadership, URDT Community Schools and URDT Main
