Professors Without Borders and ARU Embark on Holistic Learning and Leadership for Sustainable Development Programme
We are thrilled to welcome back our esteemed partners from Professors Without Borders for the 2024 programme, “Empowering Change-Makers: Holistic Learning and Leadership for Sustainable Development!”
This year’s programme is led by an exceptional team of volunteers, including Cindy Yee Au, Dr. Naveen Hyder, Karen Panzarella, PT, PhD, CHSE, and Nicole Zulu. The two-week programme, which kicked off this week, has already introduced students to the principles of changemaking, both in their personal lives and within their communities.
Nicole Zulu, a volunteer with Professors Without Borders, praised ARU’s distinctive educational model, highlighting the integration of Traditional Wisdom Specialists and the Epicentre Strategy, both aimed at causing systems wide change.

Similarly, Dr. Naveen Hyder commended ARU’s beautiful and unique campus setting, which further enhances the learning experience.

Throughout the two-week programme, participants including students and staff will explore various topics, such as soil sampling, ecology, and the dynamics of change, with a special focus on leadership and sustainable development.
