African Rural University (ARU) is currently hosting a three-day workshop on quantitative data analysis using SPSS, running from September 22 to 24, 2025. The workshop, organized by the Digital Hub for Open Research at ARU, aims to equip participants with practical skills in data analysis and interpretation.
Dr. Richard M.K. Twebaze, a Senior Lecturer from Bishop Stuart University, is leading the training program. In his opening remarks, Dr. Twebaze emphasized the importance of data, stating that “data is gold” and highlighted the need to handle it seriously.
During the workshop, participants will explore data analysis techniques using SPSS, including data import and cleaning, descriptive statistics, data visualization, and statistical tests. The training will also cover data collection using Google Forms.
This workshop is expected to enhance the data analysis skills of participants, enabling them to make informed decisions and design research projects effectively.
