African Rural University (ARU) has successfully concluded a two-week Professors Without Borders Programme with a vibrant Indigenous Knowledge Exhibition. Students showcased upcycled products, traditional foods, and dances that celebrated innovation and culture.

Our Chief Guest, Ms. Alija Christian (Community Development Officer, Bwikara Subcounty; GBV Champion; Programs Coordinator, Isunga Agritech Centre), applauded ARU’s unique approach in upcycling and community-based participatory action research, describing it as a practical model for empowering rural communities.

The District Gender Office also commended ARU

To crown the event, Milly Muhindo Desire presented gifts and Uganda Cranes jerseys 🇺🇬 to the Professors Without Borders team Prof. Saeed Akbaar & Tabi Mughal. Certificates were also awarded to participants who completed the programme.
