Kagadi Town Council Mayor/LC3, Mr. Businge Geoffrey, has commended African Rural University (ARU) for its holistic approach to rural development. He lauded ARU during a courtesy visit by Wageningen University students and ARU to his office on September 2nd, 2023.

Citing the University’s Disciplines, Mr. Businge noted that ARU Education being practical promotes hands-on learning which is Participatory by nature ‘’ARU has done a lot in Kagadi. First from the aspect of generating Knowledge and also through the practical Education. Health and Sanitation, Business and Entrepreneurship is thriving in the district’’

He also expressed gratitude to ARU for being a key partner in promoting government programmes, development and extended an invitation for further collaborations.  At this brief engagement. Businge also welcomed Wageningen University Students currently at ARU, and advised them to explore local tourist attractions like Kagadi Rocks, Kibaale National Park and the Rift Valley in Bunyoro Region
